Why Resize Images in Bulk?
Websites, email, and social media often have size limits. Resizing hundreds of images manually is tedious. Our bulk resizer processes multiple files at once, maintaining aspect ratio so images don't stretch or distort. Set max width and height; we scale proportionally.
Aspect Ratio Preservation
We use canvas drawImage with proportional scaling. Images fit within your max dimensions without cropping. Portrait stays portrait; landscape stays landscape.
How to Resize Multiple Images
Drop up to 20 images. Set max width and height (e.g., 1920×1080). Click resize. Download each resized image. All processing is client-side—no uploads.
Batch Processing
Select all images at once or add incrementally. Each file is processed independently. Original format is preserved (PNG stays PNG, JPEG stays JPEG).
Best Dimensions for Common Uses
Web hero: 1920×1080. Thumbnails: 400×400. Email: 800×600. Social: 1080×1080 (Instagram) or 1200×630 (Facebook). Our social cropper has presets for specific platforms.
When to Use Resizer vs Cropper
Resizer: scale entire image, keep aspect ratio. Cropper: crop to exact dimensions (e.g., 1:1, 9:16). Use resizer for general scaling; cropper for social presets.
Image Resizing for Web Performance
Oversized images waste bandwidth. Resize before upload to reduce page load time. We recommend 1920px max for full-width web images. Mobile: 800px is often enough.
Quality Settings
We use 92% JPEG quality by default. Slight compression during resize keeps files small without visible loss. Adjust in advanced options if needed.
